I have a 1974 Fiberform Tri hull, and I am completely restoring the boat. My question is I am wondering if its very important to put the polyurethane foam back into the floor, or can I leave it out to keep the boat light?

Thanks....

i have 1978 formula twin 350 s merc put pertronix system in to replace points, and engines run up to 3000 and stall any ideas?hvae checked fuel pumps, vent hose was clocked cleared it out still did it. have not checked pick up tubes.is there something with the advance on the pertronix ignition system that might cause this stall (like timing) being to high.they start and run fine when out of water hooked up to hose.but lake test and they stall at 3000.

I have a 115hp 2006 4 stroke Yamaha with 100 hours on it and extended warranty to 2012.
I've run 5 O/B's plus an I/O over a 40 year period in Fl and all these engines were run a fair number of hours. the I/O had 560 hours when I traded it in 2006. I've never used any sort
of additives in any of my marine or automotive engines over the years and I've never had
any problems because of this, I've had excellent service from them all. I do use Yamaha
Ring-free, that's the only exception and I use it only because Yamaha recommends it. My
115 is one beautifully performing engine!

Randy:
I have a 2006 Yamaha 150HP 4 Stroke. I have about 65 hrs on the motor. Will be changing the oil before entering the water this year. Should I add Slick 50 or a comparable lubricant with this oil change? If so how much should be added to the crankcase? I've had teriffic results using Slick 50 in my tow truck and autos and was wondering if it was OK to use it in Marine engines. I have the extended warranty that does not expire until Jan. 2012.

Randy Vance or others: I have had on-going gas tank problems (caused by a hull which delaminated) with Caravelle Power Boats of Americus GA. Does anyone know if they are still in business or have they gone into Chapter 11. I can only get a recording, and no company name when I phone their factory.
Thanks
JRoger

I have a 1985 Searay 250 with a short block 5.7 ltr prior to joining the long launch lines I always turn on the batteries and turn the engine over until I get a positive start and immediately shut down. It helps to avoid any last minute surprises at the dock, but am I causing any unnecessary damage to the engine, impeller, etc.

Thanks.....Larry DiGuglielmo
