Hydra-Sports boats is making a big splash at the 2012 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. They are rolling out their new custom series boats, offered with a myriad variety of marine accessories, colors and layouts. Our observation is that show goers are nodding their approval.

Fabio Buzzi's Bermuda Challenge Record

After powering 760 miles through the North Atlantic Ocean at an average speed of 40 knots, Fabio Buzzi and a crew of four aboard the boat FB Design set a new Bermuda Challenge record today of 17 hours and 6 minutes.

Fabio Buzzi Bermuda Challenge

Fabio Buzzi informed Boating this morning that he will depart New York City today at appproximately 5 p.m. in his bid for a Bermuda Challenge record, a day sooner than originally reported by Boating earlier this week. Buzzi cites "a narrow and closing weather window" for the change in plans.

Fabio Buzzi will attempt the Bermuda Challenge in this 39-foot boat of his own design.

It’s fall. Winds are forecast to be from the NE at 15-knots, seas 3 to 5 feet. These are not ideal conditions for running offshore, as any boater from the Carolinas to Maine will tell you.
