Fans of performance boating in the 1990s know well the name Spectre. The company manufactured a line of performance catamarans that had a reputation for delivering bang for the buck. Today, Jay Pilini, the founder of Spectre, is building center-consoles under the name Spectre by Pilini, and the newest model is the 35SS.

The boat follows the trend in performance center-consoles with excellent capacity and upgraded finishes and features. The custom helm seat is comfortable, and there are V-shaped lounges in the bow plus a two-person bench on the front of the helm console. Aft is another lounge forward of the built-in livewell/cooler.

Other features include granite countertops in the cockpit and in the console, a stainless-steel sink, a drawer-style refrigerator and stowage drawers on both sides. In the console, there’s a porcelain head, a mirror, a skylight and 6 feet 6 inches of headroom.

On the exterior, the boat is finished in a high-gloss metallic finish on the hull sides, console and T-top. Finally, the cockpit sole is covered with SeaDek synthetic flooring in a variety of colors and designs.

The 35SS is available in twin or triple-outboard configurations. The hull was designed by Pilini, who called upon his more than 30 years in the performance boat industry to bring the boat to reality. With twin 300 hp outboards, the deep-V design tops 60 mph. Contact Pilini Marine Technologies for pricing and a dealer near you. 727-329-8778, www.pillinimarinetechnologies.com.
