NauticStar 203 SC Sport Deck

The 203 SC is an outboard-powered deck boat for all.

Nearly as wide at the bow as it is at the stern, NauticStar’s 203 SC Sport Deck offers the expanded seating deck boats are known for, yet is ready for whatever the family can throw its way. Convert the insulated bow cooler to an optional livewell, add the fish finder, and you’re ready for battle. The self-bailing cockpit eliminates washdown concerns. The tow crowd will appreciate the stainless ski tow, roomy swim platform and deep, matted ski locker in the cockpit floor. Everyone will value the abundant drink holders.

Thoughtful touches abound. The open cooler storage in the bow cockpit walkway is designed with enough height to allow the crew to grab a drink without removing the cooler, or accessing a hatch door. Stowage areas are lined, and helm stowage is fitted with vinyl to eliminate damp carpet. Access to the boat from the dock is eased by a walk-through cushion on the aft sun pad.

On the water, the 203 SC performs more like a traditional V-hull. NauticStar uses an air-assist-chine hull design. The chine is notched midway — a modification that provides added lift and reduces drag. With a Yamaha F150 hung on the transom, it leveled out in 3.5 seconds and hit the 30 mph mark in seven seconds. Top speed was 44.6 mph.
