This is the company that holds the world speed record for pontoon boats (80-plus mph), which was done with a model similar to this one, albeit bigger and with a huge horsepower capacity. PlayCraft builds up the transom on its Powertoons, and uses concave lifting strakes (called Rac-R-Fins) on the U-shaped tubes to push water down, helping to get the boat off the water and into exciting speeds.
