Ranger’s got its ducks in a row when it comes to delivering what fishermen want. It introduced the 1850LS to add water-sports fun to its angling reputation. To do it, Ranger stretched its Reata 1850RS fish-and-ski, delivering more space, stowage and greater stability at rest. During our test, we learned that the 1850LS doesn’t just fish — it plays hard too.

Four bucket pedestal seats and two aft jump seats pamper passengers. An available tow pylon accommodates skiers and tube riders. An integrated boarding platform with ladder brings crew back aboard safely.

For angling, the console boasts a Lowrance Mark-5X Pro depth finder. The aftdeck includes stowage for the trolling motor batteries, a baitwell, and a removable drop-in stowage system for 7-foot rods. There’s rod stowage in the stern as well as recessed stowage on the starboard gunwale. Pumps for the recirculating aerated livewell rank among the easiest to access that we’ve seen. Backtrolling for walleye? There is a place to hang the kicker too.
