I tested the SnapBasket by bringing beverages on board, and it did the job. When you unfold the snap hinge, it opens up for an insulated rectangular soft cooler. (It’s dimensions when open are 18 1/4″ x 12 1/4″ x 12″.) I put in 30 12-ounce cans plus a six-pack of bottled water and two bags of ice. (CleverMade says it can hold 50 cans.) Everything stayed cool for my four-hour boat trip. For good measure, I left it in my garage overnight. While the ice had mostly melted when I checked the next morning, the remaining cans were still cool to the touch.
