Going to pick up a new 258 Friday 6.2 merc, orange, wakeboard tower. Its a nice boat seems good built. Had previous experiance with Bennington, all good, so we went for the Azure. Don't hear much about them. Anyone have one or know anything about them?
My family went to the 2007 Austin, TX boat show and crawled all over at least 50 different 24-29 foot boats. Then we saw the Azure 258 and immediately knew it was one of our top three choices (I never heard of Azure until then). After reviewing the options vs costs it was a no-brainer. The other well known builders couldn't compete with Azure's costs (I even got the 496 Mag HO as standard equipment!). We have been extremely happy with the handling and performance, and in my 30 years as a boat owner, it's by far the best I've had.
Good posts regarding the Azure. I have owned my Azure 220 now for 3 years and reside out of Lake Keowee SC. We (wife and 3 kids) love the boat. Having grown up on the great lakes and always owning Sea Rays it was a welcome change however I was a bit concerned with making the switch. Now 150 hours later I am so pleased. I would not say it is better than a Sea Ray but definetly not an inferior boat. Quality construction, fantastic layout and all around a well appointed boat. I continue to get questions about my "sharp" looking boat and I am proud to discuss it. The only change I would make is opting for more power. I have the 5.0 MPI and it is a little sluggish out of the hole even with a 15 degree 4 blade stainless. This is a very heavy boat for it size which all Azure models are a bit heavier than catagory average. If looking at Azure go up in power and enjoy because it has been a great experience for us.
I looked at the Azure, and really liked what I saw. I haven't purchased yet, so will be very interested in your experience. What type of water are you on? My only real hesitation is that I am in coastal NC, and am thinking I probably need to go with a deep v center console.
Took it out today. We loved it! We really like the floorplan. the sunpad is great, we like the large ski locker although the rear one is a little though to get into with folks sitting in the back seats. Our biggest deal with about every other boat this size was the bigger sinks in them. To us the sink is something we just don't use and we didn't want it taking up seat space. So the Azure fit the bill. Ran well with 5 people, full of fuel and a little choppy water GPS read 48 mph. Ithought that was pretty good for a boat that size. We boat on Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas, its about a 40,000 acre lake. Great boat IMO. Got plenty of comments and lookers when at the marina.

Had a great summer on our 258. Seen an az 240 and an az 220 on the lake during the summer. Love the Azure line and hope they do well.
