The best way to tie perfect knots is to practice. Barring that, you can use the Click-2Knot from Spinmade (spinmade.com) and tie perfect uni-knots every time. Snap the lure onto the front of the tool, feed your line into the orange funnel, squeeze the handle, wet the knot with saliva and pull tight. Downside? It requires two feet of line, which can get expensive if using fluorocarbon leaders. An experienced tier can make a uni with less than a foot. Click-2Knot works on monofilament or fluoro lines up to about 20-pound test (0.4 mm). $28; rolingreelsrodsandmore.com
