    Berkley Vanish Transition Line
Think about how many baits a bass sees during a day on a crowded lake. Wouldn't an ace in the hole be nice? Low visibility fluorocarbon could load your deck. Berkley claims the line's bright gold color appears in the sun's bright light but quickly vanishes underwater. Even with the added stiffness of fluoro, my knots pulled down tight and my casts proved clean. But is it invisible to the fish? I had a hard time seeing it under the water's surface. The bass weren't afraid to eat up either.

    Bass Bet
The spring run of stripers may be over, but that doesn't mean you have to settle for slim pickings. Use these tricks to catch big bass even during the heat of summer.

Find the thermocline. During the daylight hours of summer, mature stripers often dive deep to cooler waters. The thermocline, a cool layer of deep water, is where you'll catch them. Find it by increasing the sensitivity on your fishfinder until you see a faint line between mid-depth and the bottom. Once you've located it, drop your baits there.
