One weather forecaster can go where Al Roker can't-right in your hand. Speedtech's Weather Explorer, a wireless weather station, measures 4.4"-by-3.6"-by-9"-much smaller than Al. The unit provides date and time, moon phase, weather forecast, indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, and barometric pressure and forecast. It also graphs the 48-hour history of temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. Based on pressure changes, a visual alarm forecasts strong winds or storms. Barometric pressure data updates every three minutes, and temperature and humidity data changes each minute. The unit comes with one remote sensor. Price: $220. Having problems shifting your mechanical controls? Don't fret. After a long, wind-shocked day, even a beefcake like The Rock could have problems moving those rigid gears-unless PowerShift enters the ring. It's a self-contained shift control unit that improves shift responsiveness and performance by electronically connecting the shift and throttle to the engine and transmission. The PowerShift PB goes one step further-just press a button to control forward or reverse. Both are compatible with any engine. Price: not set at press time.
