Brewer Yacht Yards, a chain of 22 full service boat yards and marinas throughout New England, announced today that it will double the fuel discounts its customers receive in order to make it easier to spend time on the water this summer.
Seasonal Brewer customers already receive a 10¢ per gallon discount on gasoline and diesel at all Brewer fuel docks, while customers who keep their boats at a Brewer yard year-round are eligible for a 20¢ discount. Effective April 1st, these discounts will become 20¢ and 40¢ per gallon respectively.
“We know there is a lot of economic uncertainty out there these days,” said Jack Brewer, President of Brewer Yacht Yards. “One of the biggest concerns we hear from our customers this spring is that they are very nervous about what fuel prices are going to do this year. Therefore, for this summer anyway, we plan to increase the fuel discounts for our customers. We always want to see customers enjoy their boats as much as they can every year, so this just makes sense when the cost of fuel is such a big concern.”
All Brewer Yacht Yards fuel docks carry 89 octane gasoline and premium diesel fuel treated with ValvTectTM marine fuel additives. ValvTect Marine GasolineTM is specially formulated for the rigors of the marine environment and protects against phase separation and carbon formation. ValvTect Marine Diesel with BioGuardTM protects against bacteria growth while boosting lubricity and inhibiting corrosion of internal engine components.
“There are so many unsettling things going on in the economy today that we wanted to give our customers a reason to smile,” added Mr. Brewer. “So, you can cross high fuel prices off your list of things to be nervous about this summer!”
If you have not signed up for a slip for 2011, it is not too late to do so. All 22 Brewer locations from New York to Maine will be hosting an Open House this Saturday (March 19th) from 10 am to 2 pm. In addition to a number of raffle prizes, including an opportunity to win free dockage at any Brewer location, each marina will be hosting yard tours and conducting give-aways of other merchandise.
