Cruisers Yachts Unveils the 2012 41 Cantius Sports Coupe

Sister yacht to the 48 Cantius will be introduced to the dealer family on September 12.

Cruisers Yachts, Wisconsin’s premier manufacturer of luxury yachts, is proud to announce the debut of the 41 Cantius Sports Coupe at its 2012 annual international dealer meeting in Oconto, Wis., on Sept, 12-13, 2011. The yacht will then appear in boat shows across the Midwest and East Coast before arriving at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The sporty 41 Cantius, complete with Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, is the sister yacht to the much anticipated 48 Cantius Sports Coupe the company launched in 2010.

“Our engineering team held nothing back when designing the 48 Cantius last year, and they have crafted the 41 Cantius with the same passion and ingenuity,” said Jon Viestenz, product manager for Cruisers Yachts. “Along with an open, free flowing interior design concept, the 41 Cantius will feature a first for Cruisers Yachts: a swim platform entertaining area with two removable bar stools. We are pleased to add this vessel to the line of Cantius models.”

Cruisers Yachts, a part of KCS International, Inc., named the yacht in honor of Cantius Stock, the late father of KCS International, Inc. CEO K.C. Stock. “There are simply no words to describe what this tribute means to me, my family and the heritage of the company,” said K.C. Stock. “The values my father built his company on are still in practice today at Cruisers Yachts; from the way the business is run to the level of craftsmanship each of our vessels are concepted and built. The idea that the name ‘Cantius’ will be placed on our latest line of luxury yachts is a testament to the man, leader and father that Cantius Stock was.”

41 Cantius: Above Deck
Starting at the bow, the windlass anchor and chain are recessed into the hull which enhances the sleek design that the Cruisers Yachts sports coupe series is known for. Stainless steel grab rails run along both sides of the adjustable foredeck chaise sun lounge for a safe and maneuverable foredeck.

When it comes to entertaining, the 41 Cantius has got it covered with double salons. Each salon is suited for all entertaining needs. The upper salon comes standard with a wet bar including sink and bottle storage. Boaters have the option of adding a combo icemaker/refrigerator and 22” Sony television. The TV is conveniently located behind the wet bar, mounts on a hinged door in the upper wet bar cabinet for easy storage when not in use and pivots for viewing in either the upper salon or cockpit areas. The upper salon is complimented by a Taylor Made power actuated 54” by 54” sunroof with Oceanair manual sun shade and tri-slide upper salon glass door for 360 degrees of visibility and 90.3 square feet of enclosed glass. With standard power air vents and port and starboard wipers on the helm windshield, the helm remains ventilated and windshield clear in all weather conditions.

The upper salon can easily entertain six adults with the standard double helm seat, featuring a companion seat and 6’4” of headroom. The companion seat comes with a 20” by 48” split leaf dinette table that sits at the same level across from the helm on the port side. A fully furnished ceiling area offers a more homey feel and optional Amtico wood inlays give the boat a mega-yacht feel, but the truly remarkable area of the helm is the navigational center. This cutting edge station offers unique command of the vessel and monitoring of the engines. When at the navigational center, the captain has unmated visibility and complete control with a Raymarine electronics package. Revolutionary Volvo Penta IPS engines with joystick are standard so the vessel is more efficient and easier to maneuver, while reducing noise and vibration when underway. Throw out preconceived notions of a dark, cramped engine room. The 41 Cantius offers a bright, enjoyable work area with a ceiling height of 5 feet and ample room for tool storage and extra equipment.

At the stern of the 41 Cantius is an L-shaped seating area with a hi-low table and a first-of-its-kind for Cruisers Yacht – a transom bar with two removable bar stools on the swim platform with designated storage beneath the L-shaped seating. The removable bar stools are unique to any other 40-footers in its class and easily convert the space from just a swimming and boarding area to an additional entertaining area without the need for bulky chairs. A standard storage center that houses an optional cockpit grill offers a little taste of home, and an aft-enclosure extends the boating season long into the fall and early in the spring.

Waste no time getting on and off the water as the 41 Cantius has made preparing and closing up the boat a breeze by eliminating canvasses and providing all-weather slip-on covers for the transom seating and foredeck lounge areas. Board the vessel safely with the 12″ side boarding that runs from the stern to the mid-ship. Overnight dockage is made easy with a 50 watt shore power cord with routing capabilities to either the port or starboard sides.

41 Cantius: Below Deck**
Step below deck and notice how the 41 Cantius changes how boaters think about the lower salon. The traditional disconnect between the upper helm and lower salon no longer exists, offering effortless transition and communication throughout the vessel. An abundance of natural light pours into the galley through the open dash. The raised ceilings sit at just under 7′ at the entrance of the galley. An extra large below-deck hull port light amplifies visibility in the galley and is engineered for a deeper, richer look to resemble more of the mega yacht feel and seven opening portholes strategically placed all for natural light and proper ventilation.

The inventive port side galley is furnished with standard wood flooring and includes a stainless steel 4.8 cubic foot refrigerator and freezer, microwave/convection oven, two burner electric stove, single sink and plenty of storage for supplies both above and below countertops. Keep cool or warm year-round with three air conditioning and heating units, touting a total of 40,000 BTUs, strategically placed throughout the boat for optimal comfort and servicing. The standard 13.5 KW generator allows for worry-free use of all electrical components throughout the vessel without power management issues.

Elegant amenities are what give Cruisers Yachts style and legendary comfort and the 41 Cantius is no exception. Unlike other models its’ size, it boasts two staterooms and heads. The guest mid-ship suite features a split bunk arrangement that converts to a queen-size berth and a private wet head with dedicated vanity area outside of the head.

With just under 7’ of headroom, the master stateroom features a queen-sized island berth with a therapeutic foam mattress that is accessible from both the port and starboard sides. A full-length cedar lined closets and built-in drawers beneath the island berth offer ample storage, perfect for long cruises. An Oceanair hatch with blackout screens for sleeping sits above the bed and four porthole offer ample natural light and ventilation. Boaters have the option of adding a 22” Sony television. The starboard side forward head features a large separate shower stall, perfect for a day head, and has massive amounts of storage.
