After two years of development, the new Pilini Marine‘s 34-foot XCS catamaran is ready for production. The new boat features Jay Pilini’s proven five-step sponson design. Pilini developed the original Motion 25 and Spectre 30-, 32- and 36-foot catamaran bottoms and is now using his experience to make the 34 XCS an efficient design. It measures 34 feet 3 inches with a 59-inch-wide tunnel and a more trailer-friendly beam of 10 feet compared to competitors’ offerings.

Lightweight construction is achieved through vacuum-bagged kevlar/foam core layup. For durability and resistance to today’s tricky fuels, tanks are aluminum.

In the cockpit an integral wraparound windshield is incorporated into the aerodynamic deck design that is similar to the fully enclosed cockpits of modern race boats. The 34 XCS will have seating for six with premium fabrics standard. Flexible dash designs are available to accommodate traditional gauges or a variety of monitor screens from Mercury and others.

The first five boats will be built with twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboards. For outboard power, the 34 XCS has a weight-conscious cut-down design. The sterndrive model is also available with plenty of space to accommodate most popular sterndrive combinations. For more information, check out www.pilinimarine.com or call 727-329-8778.
