I have been a boating subscriber for years and you may be my last resort. I have a 1985 32' Marinette and am looking for the teak parquet floor tiles to use in some additional areas. I had the same flooring in the Egg Harbor I had before. I cannot find them anywhere. I have been online and spoken with many people in the business. They all say to contact the builder but they are out of business. They are 9" X 9". Thanks for any help you can give. Tom
Teak floor tile is avallable from a variety of sources. It doesn't have to be "marine"--teak is teak. Here's an exampe of one random company whose products are commonly used in exterior applications like patios, decks and pool surrounds:
Another solution is to ask a cabinetmaker --that's maker, not installer-- to fabricate some tiles from scratch. This might be expensive per tile, but if you only need to replace a few, might be the easiest route.
If you cant find a pattern to match the existing tiles, then the problem is no different than you might experience in renovating your home. You can pull up the old tiles and put down new flooring to suit. If you like teak, a company called Teakdeckingsytems makes products used by many major boat manufacturers. Check them out here:
