Rogor

Which engine?

Generaly speaking, these small engines draw from a portable tank, so a water-separating fuel filter isn't common. However, check with dealer or manufacaturer for flow rate of engine and fuel line max diameter and then purchase a Racor or OEM filter and install itbetween the tank and the engine. Pretty straightforward.

You'll mount the filter assembly on the boat. From its output to the engine you will install a hose, with a primer bulb. From the filter input install a hose with the fitting that mates with your tank. Then simply connect the tank when you bring it aboard.
