I have a 97 200 mariner that a little over a year ago had a problem with false oil alarms. W ithout asking me the repair shop replaced senso
Hey Mark so whats the problem? is it the marina replaced it without checking you first? At my shop yes I check first but if I cant get a hold of the person and they want their boat fixed I just go ahead and do it within reason, I don't gouge my customers (bad for business) and most of them understand they don't want to be STRANDED on the water and we have BIG water here on Lake Ontario, and 99% have no problem with the way I do it, they all keep coming back to me because Im honest about it, and trust me when I say this GOOD SHOPS ARE HARD TO FIND, so if they did it and charged you the correct rate, be thankful they did it, because its your life and your passengers who rely on YOU having a properly matained boat as well as a coastguard rule.
Would agree to a point with Myles. Here in Florida we have to get you to sign for or use phone for authorizing repairs. If it wasn't to much $$ I might not complain myself but to like to be keep in the loop on repairs.
