Enjoyed reading your performance test on the Bennington 2575 QCW. But I must say I didn't think it was a fair comparison. Maybe because the 8.2 Mercruiser was all that was available at the time you did the test ? my thinking was Mercuries's 350 cid magnum would have been a more fair comparison. Maybe a 7 marine 557 would be closer to the 430hp 8.2 and I suspect it would have the more seat of the pants grunt and ear music to the performance group than the I/O ! Something I noticed on the specs in the toe to toe comparison was your prop diameter for the Bravo three @ 24". Seems your proof reader wasn't paying attention as it should read the same as the Yamaha 350 at 15+ inch's. Actually I think the Yamaha 350 will spin a 16" prop depending on application. I'm just sayin ! Keep up the great articles.
