Searay, Formula, and Chris-Craft are where I might start looking to compare the 272. ( I dont really know what you "hot-buttons" are: perfromance, luxury, aesthetics--they all vary)
But my advice to folks when boat shopping is always shop the dealers as well as brands.Its key to your boating experience.If one dealer has a better reputation for service than another, make sure to give that fact weighs heavily in your decision.

this is coming in off the Detroit River toward the canals in Gibraltar, MI where our boat is kept. To the left (not seen in the photo) is Lake Erie Boat Ramp. I have captured so many amazing sunsets. Such a quite and peaceful ending to a long day on the boat, coming off the river toward the canals is my favorite time of day.

Toby is a Cavalier King Charles enjoying a sunset cruise on Lake Columbia located in the Irish Hills of SE Michigan and near Michigan International Speedway and Brooklyn, MI. The Irish Hills features approximately 60 lakes and is only an hour from Detroit and Toledo. The boat is a 2010 Crest Custom pontoon.
