It'd be done by road. I've reached out to Intrepid for a more specific answer. Believe me, if you want the boat, those guys will see that it gets there safe and sound.

Hi John,

I think Lake Powell would be a great place to use one our 475 SY's, she's a very comfortable boat that's as fast and agile as boats half her size. Outboards are much easier to transport and launch than boats with inboard power. We put them in the water a local launch ramp when we do sea trials and deliveries from our factory here in Largo, Florida. The shallow draft of this boat is quite handy when it comes to building a dock that's suitable as well. Overland transport from Florida to Lake Powell is not a problem, we ship them to all parts of the continental U.S. including various ports of departure for anywhere in the world. Please contact me by telephone or email at JBrenna@IntrepidPowerBoats.com with any particular questions you may have.

Regards,

Thank you Kevin and thank you Joe for your answers. Joe, I was just researching if my dream boat could be placed on my favorite inland lake. I truly love the BIG brochure and the digital info stick that your company sent me. Bravo !! Your 475SY pulls all of my triggers, and is the boat I'd buy if I were to ever reach that level. Just bought a 2010 22' pontoon and she's making me see bigger dreams... here's hoping. Was wondering if you add the hull's and side paint inside the gel coat like Cris Craft does, that way it never dulls ? Guess it wouldn't matter 'cause I'd have my wife, kids, grandkids & myself all rubbing on her everyday anyways... beautiful boats those Intrepids !! Thank you for the info.

Also, I've seen this model online powered by quad Merc 275's & another with quad Merc 300 V-6's. The one in the brochure you sent is powered by triple 350hp Yamaha V-8's. Was wondering if there was enough room on the transom for a quad Yamaha V-8 installation... or are they just too big ? Thank you for your time. We're out of here to spend the next several days fishing & camping on board the 'lil pontoon on a high desert lake here in the Southwest. I'm addicted to fishing for Pike & Walleye ! Retirement is sweet... CHEERS

And now Mercury just sent me a brochure with their new 350hp inline 6's... sweet ! I bet 4 of those would fit ? I want this boat bad ! Just can't afford it... yet. If I can get what I want for a couple of my properties in Nor Cal then I'll be in touch.
