I have a 2001 Larson 19lxi with steering problems. Replaced most parts, now trying to disconnect power steering pump. Does this make sense?

Be more descriptive. What is the exact problem? What engine do you have?

The short answer without more info is: removing the steering pump wont help your steering.

Like Kevin said, need more info.
Hard to turn, left or right or both?
Boat wanders at low speeds, oversteering to correct?
Loose wheel?
