random things i was told to check involve.clear tube coming from carb has no gas in it. there is a bit of oil / gas in the water around the boat. it is a WHITE smoke not a steam.when you take the cap off of the heat exchange the smoke comes out of it. if the airfilter is off the carb smoke comes from there.   90% of the smoke comes from the exhaust.we ran the boat for 20 mins let it warm up (5 mins into it the smoke stoped.) killed it waited exactly 1 min. then started it  smoked again right away.. lasted another 5-6 mins.  any ideas or help would be awesome.

Hi Jasone

Given the time of year, I gotta ask: Did this occur during the first outing of the spring? A properly winterized engine will blow white smoke until the fogging fluid is burned off.

If not, yuo may have water in yuor fuel system. You can check your filter for water as a clue--but I'd have a pro check it out, starting with a compression check.

Kevin's right but also water/antifreeze getting into cylinders wil cause white smoke.

If antifreeze gets into the engine it will burn off but it will have a sweet smell to it, thats when you know you have a problem.
