I have a 1995 Twin Merc 290 SeaRay Sundancer. My port engine recently stopped running past 3700 while my starboard is hitting 4500. Ideas?

My props look fine. Could this be plugs, wires, or simple maintenance related?

Could be a heckuva lot of things. I'd look at fuel system: water in fuel,(check the filters for both engines, the starboard may be right behind the port in rpm loss) throttle not opening fully, weak fuel pump, restricted fuel line, -- just a few things to check.

May not apply to your engine. I have a 2003 Mercruiser Mag 350. It has 2 fuel pumps. The lift pump was bad so the pressure pump was doing all the work. I ran out of RPMs at 3200 consistently. Do you have two pumps?
