Never has a pontoon at such an attractive price been offered with powder-coated logs.

The new Regency 254 DL3, offering similar features and more motor options than Tracker Marine’s most luxurious pontoon, the Regency 254 LE3, is full of incredible amenities and built using tough, durable construction materials and techniques.

In 2013, Tracker Marine added a powder-coating furnace to its aluminum boat factory in Lebanon, Missouri. The company doesn’t paint boats anymore. The powder-coated finish helps your pontoon stay showroom beautiful and free of dingy corrosion along the waterline. Rails and tubes are color-coordinated. Tracker claims to be the only maker capable of building its full line this way, due to its sophisticated forecasting for annual demand and a modular assembly process that ensures efficiency and reliability on each boat.

Both the DL3 we tested and the LE3 have a length overall of 27 feet 5 inches. Lifting strakes and wave deflectors provide a dry ride along with extra lift, buoyancy, speed and handling. The deck is built to resist the elements as well as moisture seepage with a seven-ply pressure-treated deck. All furniture backs and bases are roto-molded, and all the upholstery is foam-wrapped with a moisture barrier for long life.

Wraparound bow lounges with deep cushions, pillow-top backs and lumbar support boast lockable stowage within and floor-level drink holders. The stern lounge comes with a pop-up changing room. Swimmers have access to a full-width platform with a padded nonskid surface.

The heavy-duty fiberglass console is elevated for maximum visibility. Our test boat had a Lowrance Elite-5 color depth finder/chart plotter with GPS, deluxe sport steering wheel with burl-wood accents, a mobile phone holder and full instrumentation. An easy-to-access automotive-style fuse panel is tucked under the console. For entertaining, the refreshment center with freshwater sink, pullout sprayer, food-prep area, drink holders and courtesy light proves ideal.
