The open bow iteration of the revered Ski Nautique 200 remains one of the best tournament ski boats on the market for 2016. It’s perfect for skiers who want smooth and passable wakes, ideal drivability and polished aesthetics with a little more room to spread out.

The helm seat is the biggest change for 2016. Nautique actually recorded its athletes driving the boat for hours and studied their motion patterns to make sure this seat wouldn’t inhibit their movements. The seat combines ergonomics, airflow and excellent back support, and it looks like it’s straight out of a race car. Style throughout the entire boat is top notch. Nautique debuted new vinyl colors, and you’ve got multiple textures, marine-grade foam on every walk-through area, billet aluminum grab handles, and even a passenger-seat heater. The open bow is the only real distinguishing characteristic between this boat and the closed-bow iteration. Multiple world records prove that the open bow doesn’t affect the performance whatsoever, but it absolutely affects the comfort. It’s great to have that extra space, it’s nice to be able to walk all the way up there when you’re docking, and you can fit two more people in the boat — there are a ton of benefits to the open bow and really no drawbacks.
