Since it started building pontoon boats out of its Seminole, Oklahoma, facility in 2010, Silver Wave has been known for customizable pontoons that are great for bringing aboard a crew to cruise or fish — or both. The Silver Wave 230 Grand Costa CLS is one of the company’s most popular models because it’s a great base boat with an extensive options list so that you can rig it just how you want it.

The 23-foot, 10-inch length overall Grand Costa CLS features plush couches to port and starboard both in the back and the bow of the boat. The two bow couches feature forward-facing backrests with fold-down armrests should any passengers want to kick back and lounge. The portside sofa in the main cockpit features a rear-facing backrest for lounging or for someone to serve spotter duty during a skiing or tubing session. The high-backed bucket seat at the helm is matched by a twin on the port side, so the cocaptain can ride in comfort too.

Overall, the boat has a 12-person capacity, and should you choose to bring 11 guests, each and every one will have a place to sit. The helm has space for a flush-mounted electronics display.

One thing that stands out about the 230 Grand Costa CLS is its distinct styling, with two-color fencing and rails accented by molded-fiberglass panels at the bow that give the boat a seriously sporty look. On the inside, the available amenities list is about as long as you can stand, with underwater and courtesy LEDs available, a portable potty, chart plotters and fish finders, a trolling motor and much more.

Should you want more performance, and a bit more range, Silver Wave offers three different triple-tube packages, which offer variations of 4- to 6-inch lifting strakes and power-steering upgrades, plus an increased fuel capacity of either 47 or 75 gallons. The most comprehensive upgrade — the Rough Water Package — adds 27-inch tubes, the 75-gallon fuel tank, Sea Star steering and stouter crossmember construction to handle any anticipated big-water outings.
