Custom propeller manufacturer BBlades has introduced a new prop for the big clamp-on engines, the BBlades OB/F. It’s a four-blade 14.75″ diameter stainless-steel wheel available in one-inch pitch increments from 21″ to 37″ and in 15″ diameter in one-inch pitch increments from 33″ to 37.” It has a custom-tuned tube that reduces drag, improves trim reaction and aids time to plane and top speed.
BBlades says the engine is “ideal for any 150 to 557 horsepower outboard from any manufacturer. An exclusive feature of the BBlades OB/G is that it fits 7/8” tunable exhaust vents that allow an owner to customize the necessary propeller ventilation for his specific boat. Competitive propellers offer a non-tunable 1” vent or a 5/8” tunable vent.
The leading edge of each blade is wedged and balance while the trailing edge cup heights are lengthened and matched for cleaner, smoother acceleration and quicker trim reaction. The propeller is available in left and right-hand rotations. Retail pricing starts at $797.
