One year ago, the beautiful Kailin B. was photographed onboard a Robalo 317 DC as one of Boating‘s Icom cover girls. Today, she has been voted as the Cover Girl of 2018 by you, the readers. We sat down with Kailin to find out what that means to her and what else she has been up to on the water.
What was it like being part of the cover photoshoot on the Robalo 317 DC?
It was amazing! Not only was the crew great, but the boat was beautiful! The photographer shot the boat from a helicopter, which was such a cool experience!
Have you done any other photoshoots on boats since then?
Since being on the Robalo 317 DC I haven’t gotten to shoot on any more boats, but I am hoping another is coming up soon.
What does it mean to you to be voted Boating’s Cover Girl of 2018?
Being voted cover girl of the year is so exciting! I’m so happy that I can represent all of the girls who love being on the water as much as I do!
On the Robalo cover shoot you mentioned doing lots of scuba diving. How often do you go and what’s your favorite place you’ve ever dived?
Unfortunately, my schedule doesn’t allow for diving as often as I wish it did but I still get to go about once a month. I usually dive the Florida Keys, but in January I got to dive the Petit Piton in St. Lucia with some friends. That was definitely a favorite dive!
Describe an ideal day on the water for you.
An ideal day on the water includes friends, maybe some fishing or diving, and plenty of sunscreen! I’d love to take the Robalo 317 DC out for a spin in the Bahamas — I don’t think it could get much better than that.
