We have to credit Centurion for being the first to break from the traditional water-sports-boat mold back in the mid-’90s. The company saw that there were more boaters who liked to dabble in skiing and boarding than the other way around, so they began tailoring boats for bigger water and bigger crews. The Concourse C4 is one of Centurion’s latest models to fit the mo’ better description. Its centerline depth and high freeboard makes for a fun ride on days when lower-profile ski boats have to stay moored. The 46-gallon fuel tank makes longer day junkets possible, yet it doesn’t hog up hull space that might be used for one of the optional ballast systems.
