Suzuki Marine announced today that it will offer a limited number of its popular DF150 and DF175 4-stroke outboard motors in white. The announcement comes as part of Suzuki Motor Corporation’s celebration of doing business in the United States for 50 years. In 1963, Suzuki imported its first motorcycles for the US market and began importing its innovative line of outboard motors in 1977.
“Our “Big Block” 150 and 175 horsepower outboards have been favorites with a lot of boaters – and a lot of dealers – over the years. Their combination of great performance and lightweight, compact size made them perfect for all kinds of mid-sized boats,” said Gus Blakely, Sales Planning Manager for Suzuki Marine. “These new white models celebrate our 50th year doing business in the US, and will look great on the transoms of a lot of those boats, whether they’re new boats or repowers,” he added.
Suzuki Marine’s DF150 and DF175 outboard motors feature an inline 4-cylinder DOHC powerhead with big block displacement of 174.9 cu. in. With a powerful gear ratio of 2.50:1, they can turn a larger diameter prop for better acceleration out of the hole. Suzuki’s advanced multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection delivers impressive fuel economy and crisp performance in the mid-range and at wide open throttle.
