The Eagle 10, which had its world premiere at the Sydney International Boat Show in early August, is a game-changer in the world of RIBs. Designed to be the ultimate cruiser, the nearly 33-foot boat features a deep-V hull for a dry, smooth ride and twin 300-horsepower engines for 50-knot performance. Like all Brig Boats, it’s more stable, lightweight and low-maintenance than hard-sided counterparts, and it provides an extra measure of safety and reliability due to the buoyant, durable, carbon-fiber Hypalon tubes. If a tube does get punctured in an accident, the seven-chambered boat will remain seaworthy. What’s more, the Eagle 10 is loaded with an impressive array of cruising features, allowing it to serve as a both a fun day boat and a capable weekender. It offers comfortable seating for up to 10 people, convertible table, sun deck, sink that can accommodate an available fridge/stove, easy-access swim platform with folding ladder and outdoor shower, and well-appointed cabin with double bed.

“Visitors to the Sydney International Boat Show were waiting in long lines to see the Eagle 10,” said Neil Webster, chief executive officer for Brig USA and co-owner of award-winning Australia-based distributor Sirocco Marine, which distributes the boast in Australia. “There is a growing demand for larger inflatables now. And while some boat buyers are still looking for just the right yacht tender, others have become accustomed to the idea of a RIB as the primary family boat, whether it’s for coastal day cruising, island hopping, watersports, or weekend getaways. “The Eagle 10 is so versatile,” he continued. “Owners will find it’s easy to beach, it will carry plenty of gear, and it will be a comfortable, stable platform for making memories with family and friends on the water.” Aeronautical engineer Slava Rodionov, who founded Brig Boats a quarter-century ago, called the Eagle 10 premiere “the most exciting launch in the history of Brig.” Kharkov, Ukraine-based Brig Boats is Europe’s largest manufacturer of recreational RIBs, and it’s the world’s largest manufacturer of RIBs longer than 10 feet. Founded by aeronautical engineer Slava Rodionov more than 25 years ago, Brig Boats are now sold around the world through an exclusive distributor network. In addition to the Eagle Series, Brig also offers the rugged Navigator Series, designed to go anywhere in a broad range of sea and weather conditions; and the Falcon Series, intended for the discerning boater who is looking for added value at an entry-level price. In the United States, Brig Boats are sold through Sirocco Marine Fort Lauderdale, which has just moved into a new 72,000-square-foot downtown location; Sirocco Marine Annapolis; and Islander Marine Sales in Marblehead, Ohio.
