Brunswick Touts New Boat Plant

Harris FloteBote, Cypress Cay Pontoons Ramp Up

Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations, producer of Harris FloteBote and Cypress Cay Pontoons, announced its new 360,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana at a ceremony held Thursday, June 13, 2013.

In attendance for the announcement, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence commented, “Seeing this great facility is a testament to this company and to its leadership, nationally and locally. The investment we see here today is a credit to the people who work for this company—to the people of this region. Thank you for investing in Northeastern Indiana”

Brunswick says the expansion will cost 1.2 million. Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations, currently employs 261 full-time workers and anticipates hiring an additional 200 employees by 2016, which will include all types of positions from salaried to part-time


Production of Harris FloteBote and Cypress Cay pontoons is scheduled to begin in August 2013.

Brunswick Chairman and CEO, Dustan McCoy commented, calling it a “credit to our hard-working employees” and a result of the growth in the demand for pontoon boats.
