Considered one of the original builders of multipurpose center consoles, Concept Boats (www.conceptboats.com) displayed its updated 4400 Open at the new boat-show venue on Virginia Key and will be at this month’s Palm Beach Boat Show on Dock 7, Slip 738. The boat has three 350 hp Mercury Verado four-stroke outboards that push it to 65-plus mph. The 44-foot boat has a beam of 10 feet 9 inches and weighs 13,350 pounds.

One of the many upgrades made on the boat is the new leaning post with a sink and bait-prep station on the backside. There’s a dedicated compartment for the Rigid Frigid cooler down low and space for additional storage. Because Concept is a custom builder, the bait-prep gear can be swapped out for a grill and blender. Up front, the bow seat has full-length lounges with pop-up angled backrests, and belowdecks, there’s a cabin with a small berth and private head.
