I love night fishing, and I won’t leave the dock without my green lights-they draw in the fish like a magnet. Just one problem: Big lights like the Hydroglow or the Green Magnet cost a pile of money, ranging from $150 to $250. Now, Optronics brings us a much less expensive alternative: the LED Fish-N-Light.
These lights have 16 LEDs inside that illuminate a reflective silver spine. This increases the light’s glow while burning significantly less power than a fluorescent bulb. The niftiest thing about the Fish-N-Light is that it’s modular. To add more shine, pick up an extension module ($27/2-pack), which can be used to expand the 1’10” light up to 6′. So does it work? I found that it attracted lots of fish. Although it doesn’t produce quite as much light as a big-dollar fluorescent, considering the massive cost savings, it’s an excellent choice.
