Tennessee Powerboat Club Old Hickory Fun Run July 31 to Aug. 1
The Old Hickory Fun Run

The Old Hickory Fun Run is being held in central Tennessee the weekend of July 31 to Aug. 1 and will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Between 80 and 100 boats will arrive on Thursday and Friday in Nashville from around the country. “With our event benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, we are giving back to folks who have already given so much,” said Tennessee Powerboat Club President Chad Collier. The club has helped raise more than $50,000 for the charity the last two years.

The boats hit the water Friday for a quick trip to Gallatin Marina to have lunch at Awe Daddy’s. Then the fleet heads to nearby Two Foot Cove for a raft-up. Friday afternoon, the boats head back to Blue Turtle Bay Marina to get ready for the popular street party Friday night. Saturday morning the boats will participate in a poker run and conclude the day back at Blue Turtle Bay Marina, where the public can check out the boats.
