The Offshore Powerboat Association’s next two races will be in St. Clair and Port Huron, Michigan, on July 24-26 and on Aug. 7-9, respectively. These are two of the best-attended races on the OPA circuit. Teams will race boats from 21 feet to 50 feet in upwards of 10 classes. Local favorite the Cat Can Do team won the Extreme class last year and is looking to take the win again this season. Another local team, Cleveland Construction, has a strong following for its Skater 388 catamaran. Both events start with inspections and a racer meet-and-greet on Friday with testing on Saturday and competition on Sunday.
