One of the few aluminum deck boats, the Ventura 220 WS features sleek lines, seating for 12 and a contoured wraparound windshield. Swing open the windshield walk-through to access the inviting loungers in the bowrider area.
In the cockpit, you’ll find L-shaped seating with a pedestal table. Swivel the captain’s chair to join the gathering when you’re not piloting the 220 WS. Ice your drinks in the cooler within the port console.
Want to catch some rays? Check out the padded sun deck that stretches across the entire stern beam. Enjoy tunes while afloat thanks to the boat’s kickin’ four-speaker Bluetooth-enabled stereo system.
With the optional Entertainment Package, you can also treat family and friends to watersports thanks to the included ski tow bar and starboard swim platform with a telescoping stainless-steel boarding ladder. Lift open the sun deck in the starboard quarter to access the passageway to the platform. You can also order the optional anodized aluminum wakeboard tower.
A V-hull with healthy reverse chines results in a smooth ride and great stability at rest. Our test boat possessed power aplenty for watersports or zipping around the lake. A Mercury 175 Verado propelled the 220 WS onto plane in 4.2 seconds and 30 mph in 7.4 seconds. Top speed was a brisk 44.4 mph.
A bucket seat at the helm offers superb comfort. You can also opt for a captain’s chair with a flip-up bolster for a little extra height and a better view while seated.
Electric throttle and shift (when powered by a Mercury Verado) will spoil you — you’ll never want to go back a mechanical shifter. SeaStar hydraulic steering with a tilt-and-lock wheel is standard when the 220 WS is equipped with an engine of 150 hp or greater.
This deck boat is also efficient, achieving maximum fuel economy of over 5 mpg at 21.8 mph (3,500 rpm). With the 46-gallon fuel tank, you can cruise for hours without having to worry about finding a fuel dock.
