The 2015 Joey Gratton Memorial Fun Run

Gratton Fun Run

The offshore racing world lost Joey Gratton when the boat he was throttling rolled and he drowned in the Key West Offshore world championships in 2012. To celebrate Gratton’s memory, his sons Blake and Brock established the memorial run in their dad’s name. The event starts at the 10th Street boat ramp in Sarasota, Florida, then runs across Sarasota Bay out into Tampa Bay. The run is about 26 miles each way. Additionally, on New Year’s Eve there will be a lunch run on Sarasota Bay, and the Twisted Metal and Black Pearl crews will have a New Year’s Eve party at the Man Cave, which is located right behind the old Donzi factory in Sarasota. Everyone is welcome to all the events, all for fun: no registration, no fees, no cards, just a fun time to remember our lost friends.
