New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club reaches out to wider audience.

NJPPC

The New Jersey Offshore Powerboat Racing Association announced in February that it will be hosting the Atlantic City Veterans' Offshore Grand Prix on the weekend of June 19-21. The race is the second stop on the Roar at the Jersey Shore, a three-event tour sponsored by Geico. The first race will be held at Seaside Heights, New Jersey, on the weekend of May 29 and the third event will be hosted by Hoffman's Marine in Brielle, New Jersey, the week of July 6. The series is dedicated to honoring military veterans, who will be invited to each race. The Atlantic City Sports Commission and New Jersey Offshore Powerboat Racing Association are working with the Golden Nugget Hotel, Casino and Marina to stage the event, which will be free and open to the public.

New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club reaches out to Wider Audience
The New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club (NJPPC) enters its 18th year with a change for the labeling of some of its events. Poker runs will now be called Rallies because the organization felt that some boaters were shying away from participating because they thought the term "Poker Run" connotes an event exclusively for fast boats. Poker hands will still be played as part of the rally, and there will even be an option for members who just want to head to the last stop and be part of the fun without running with the fleet.
