Offshore powerboat racing sanctioning body Super Boat International is making it worthwhile for teams traveling to Michigan City, Indiana, for the Great Lakes Grand Prix on the July 31 to Aug. 2 weekend by offering double points for the race. Starting Friday afternoon, all the boats will be on display in Washington Park in Michigan City. Additionally, there will be a Taste of Michigan City on Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening. Teams will test Saturday afternoon, and then there will be a boat parade and block party that evening. Racing starts Sunday at 11 a.m., and the competition will stream live on the SBI website, www.superboat.com.
