Family- and Fun-Friendly: Manitou’s Aurora LE
The Manitou Aurora LE’s desirable features come standard, while maintaining an affordable price point.
The completely redesigned Aurora LE, at 18 to 25 feet, offers standard, angler and rear-facing floor plans, with a variety of hull designs, including a twin-tube. Engine choices, depending on hull, reach up to 200 HP for extra oomph perfect for water adventures.
The Aurora LE and Aurora LE Angler’s redesigned high-quality furniture has upgraded foam padding. Fusion stereo and abundant cupholders cover party needs, and standard features also include a Garmin multifunction display, and stainless steel boarding ladder. A ski tow bar comes standard on Aurora LE RF, 20 – 25 feet twin and V-Toon models.
LX: A Stately Series
The new Manitou LX series, meanwhile, offers the ultimate pontoon experience. Replacing the Legacy and X-Plode models in a single line, it balances performance and comfort without sacrificing a bit of either.
At 23 to 27 feet, the LX series invites wining and dining, spreading a relaxing celebration across its expansive, well-appointed deck. But it leaps onto plane, too, come watersports time.
The LX line offers several floor plans, ample storage, and abundant standard features such as power assist steering, LED interior lighting, and a color-matched mooring cover. Options include configurable loungers, sunpads, windscreens and LED exterior lighting.
The LX is available with single or dual engine or Sport Handling Package (SHP) V-Toon® configurations.
What’s that V-Toon®?
V-Toon technology is Manitou’s proven, patented array of triple pontoons, the center tube larger than its mates and positioned slightly lower in the water.
The bottom of a V-Toon hull design has a center tube exactly 5.25 inches lower than the bottoms of those neighbors. That precise positioning, along with strategically placed positive angle lifting strakes, creates deadrise and water displacement echoing that of a standard V-hull, while topped by the stability, space and comfort advantages of the pontoon.
For maximum performance, Manitou’s Sport Handling Package (SHP) includes wide, positive-angle lifting strakes on all three tubes; Barracuda nosecones; Teleflex SeaStar® power assist steering; and an integrated, sealed performance transom ready for engines of 175 to 400 HP – and double that, to a stunning 800 HP max, on dual-engine models!
For milder rides, the VP design offers elite V-Toon® hull performance at a surprising competitive price. Its features include positive-angle lifting strakes on the center tube; Teleflex SeaStar® hydraulic steering; standard nosecones with welded side keeps, and an integrated, sealed performance transom rates for up to 150 HP.
A third tube in any brand makes a pontoon more stable and higher floating; a Manitou SHP or VP V-Toon® hull boasts boosted performance and handling — greater acceleration, quicker planing, higher top speeds, and increased stability.
