Orlando (Feb. 2, 2015) – Supra Boats has partnered with Bonnier Corp.’s Events & Entertainment Group as the new title sponsor and exclusive tow boat of the Pro Wakeboard Tour, it was announced today by Matt Hickman, vice president of brand strategies at Bonnier Corp. An institution and foundation of the professional water-sports industry for the past 23 years, the Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour will continue to push new boundaries with progressive, high-profile changes in 2015 and beyond. The 2015 Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour will feature the Supra Boats SE550 as the official tow boat, alongside the largest pro men’s purse in its history, unprecedented exposure to the masses with innovative digital-video distribution, more than 30 webisodes of premium content showcasing world-class athletes and sponsor coverage, a special and extra issue of WAKEBOARDING Magazine highlighting Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour and customized on-site audience experiences.

The Supra SE550 is the official tow boat for the elite tour because of its clean, consistent and massive wakes. The Supra Boats’ wakes are expected to push pros to new levels while preserving strict handling and a balanced ride for the driver and judges in the boat. The 2015 Supra Boats are powered with the high-torque 6.2L Ford Raptor Engine by Indmar. “We are excited to partner with Supra Boats to power the tour,” said Scott Clack, vice president of Indmar. “The PWT is the proving ground for the highest-performing boats and motors in the industry.” Shawn Perry, editor-in-chief of WAKEBOARDING, later said, “After testing the Supra Boats SE550 and seeing it perform at other events, it seems like the obvious choice of tow boat for the new 2015 PWT.” The special Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour edition of WAKEBOARDING Magazine is an additional issue full of insider information.
