Williams Performance Tenders Launching Sportjet Range

Exciting new product powered by BRP Rotax® coming to 2014 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

Williams Performance Tenders, the world’s leading turbojet manufacturer, is delighted to announce an exciting new chapter for the company with the launch of a new Sportjet range – all powered by the industry-leading BRP Rotax® engines. The Sportjet can be seen for the very first time in the US at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 30 – November 3rd).

Designed as an exciting performance boat, which is great for waterskiing or wakeboarding, the Sportjet will have huge appeal to both standalone boaters, as well as owners looking for another of Williams’ perfect tenders for their yacht. The first model to be launched is the Sportjet 460, which will make its world debut at the Cannes Boat Show on Tuesday 9th September, closely followed by its UK launch at the PSP Southampton Boat Show on Friday 12th September. The second model in the range, the Sportjet 510 will make its world debut at the London Boat Show in 2015.

In a new move for the company, the Sportjet 460 will feature the Rotax 4-TEC 150 jet propulsion system. The legendary Rotax 4-TEC series is recognised as one of the cleanest and quietest engines in the industry, providing high performance, superior handling and low maintenance, as well as meeting the stringent CARB 3-star ultra-low-emission standards. In addition, owners of the new Sportjet benefit from a full three-year warranty.

Just some of the features on board the new Sportjet include a large sports platform area, rear-facing sports lounge seats, reversible backrest for sunbathing, folding helm with windshield, Sea Dek footwell and platform, a large storage locker forward, and an additional storage locker in the helm. A windscreen, ski pole, navigation lights and bathing ladder are fitted as standard with optional extras including LED lights, bimini, spray dodger, Garmin chart plotter and a Fusion music system.

Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams Performance Tenders, commented: “We are hugely excited about the launch of the 460 Sportjet and to be working with BRP. This move for us is all about creating even more choice for our discerning customers, whilst remaining true to our core product and design engineering excellence. With the Sportjet we are catering for those customers looking for a standalone day boat, as well as giving yacht owners additional, larger petrol fuelled options. We have been absolutely delighted with the performance of the Sportjet and we are really looking forward to introducing this range to our current and prospective customers.” Founded by brothers Mathew and John Hornsby in 2004, Williams has established itself as the world’s leading jet tender specialist, renowned for its range of Turbojet and Dieseljet models. The company now employs 45 staff at its Oxfordshire base and is supported by a global team of factory trained engineers. Williams produces up to 700 boats per year and had a turnover of £11.2M in 2013.
