Performance is a clear focus of Bennington’s 2575 RCW I/O Tower. MerCruiser’s 300 hp 350 MAG MPI provides the power to push this boat onto plane in 4.3 seconds, reach 30 mph in about four more, and top out at 43.7 mph. Below deck, Bennington’s standard Elliptical Sport Package delivers a thrilling ride. The outer 25-inch pontoons feature performance-enhancing foils. The 32-inch center tube is elliptical with lifting strakes. The configuration presents a V to the water. Crank it into a corner and the 2575 RCW handles much like a fiberglass V-hull, banking with a confident lean that belies the boat’s 28-foot length.
A water-sports tower hovers overhead. It’s powder-coated to match the fence panels, and includes canvas, LED lights, and a pair of Wet Sounds speakers with lighted rings. Aft, a pair of parallel lounges offers aft-facing backrests to keep tabs on the action in the wake.
Lounges reside on an elevated platform, which raises electrically to provide engine access. The curved, fiberglass swim platform allows riders to gear up protected from the prop.
The large, central tube makes possible a cavernous ski locker. Our test boat was also optioned to include a 4-inch raised fiberglass helm.
