Use the simple arbor knot for a snug fit between the end of fishing line and the reel spool. The process is as simple as tying two overhand knots, one over the other, that will prevent slippage.

1. Tie an overhead knot on the free end of the line.

2. Pass the line around the spool and begin a second overhand knot.

3. Complete by tightening both knots.

4. Clip excess line for a smooth finish.
