Though this contest is sponsored by ACR/ ARTEX, along with the National Safe Boating Council, we believe that boaters who carry a safety beacon aboard, regardless of the manufacturer, enhance boating safety exponentially. Ask the most experienced captains, or simply take a look aboard their boats from the dock, and you’ll find that carrying EPIRB and PLB is the norm among accomplished mariners. For what it’s worth, Boating editors all carry safety beacons aboard their personal boats. Please consider carrying a beacon aboard your boat.
