Fountain Updates the 29 Fever

Fountain hopes to unveil redesigned 29 Fever at Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

As reported by our friends at Poker Runs of America, Fountain Powerboats is redesigning its 29′ Fever with the hope of unveiling the new 2016 model at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

“The 29’ Fever is a great running boat, and through our research we realized the 29’ could satisfy that niche,” explained Walker, president/CEO of Baja Inc., which owns Fountain, Baja Marine, Donzi Marine and Pro-Line Boats. “We want to get a Fountain out there that the average boater can buy.”

Walker explained that the company decided on a boat in this size range because of strong consumer interest. “We’re looking at re-introducing the 29′ Fever with a target of offering a single-engine boat that will hit 70 to 75 mph for a reasonable price,” he said. “Our plan is to modernize the 29-footer, designing upgrades to the cabin and cockpit. We also want to see how it runs with a Mercury Racing 520, and possibly hold the price range.”
