Tried and true, the Axis A22 has a reputation for being an all-around wake-making machine, and it’s better than ever for 2018.

What You Get
The A22 is built to make solid waves. With the optional Surf Gate, those waves instantly become great. The A22 we tested was equipped with a standard Wedge, so we surfed with it up. As is, the wave has a moderate transition with plenty of size and push that creates a large pocket, which makes riding easier and more fun for a variety of riders or board styles. If you want to customize that shape more, opt for the Power Wedge.

Who It’s For
Anybody. The A22 can make a wave that nearly every style of rider, from beginner to more advanced, will love to surf. At just under 22 feet, the A22 is a perfect balance of size and space. There is plenty of room for everybody, and the upgraded flooring makes it more comfortable than ever.

Goldilocks. We’re fans of “just right” in terms of size and functionality, and the A22 hits the nail on the head.
