Boating on Mars?

Evidence mounts that Mars once had oceans.

I seem to remember boating going on in Martian canals in Ray Bradbury’s short story collection The Martian Chronicles, but hey it’s science fiction: Anything is possible.

But now, real scientists are uncovering increasing evidence that the fourth planet from the sun once had flowing water, in the form of rivers and oceans.

This leads to questions. Namely, was there once a boating culture on Mars? Will there be in the future? Gravity on Mars is 62 percent lower than on Earth; does that mean the wakeboarding tricks would be insane?

Either way, if colonization were to ever occur, let’s hope the waterfront prices stay cheap and that there are plenty of boat ramps and public access, but absolutely zero no wakes zones.
