BoatUS this week sent out a special notice of thank you to the 18,000 boaters who took action against a cell phone network company who’s 4G network plan threatened to disrupt crucial GPS navigation signals. That company, Lightspeed, recently filed for bankruptcy, but according to BoatUS, the threat is far from over. As GPS is the only reliable navigation system left (remember LORAN?), boaters from every walk of life should care about this issue.
